yuan family – melbourne family documentary photography

Jacqui is an old friend that I met from Youth Group. Thanks to Facebook, we’ve been able to stay in touch and watch each others families grow. I was a little bit hesitant about this session, not knowing well enough if she and her family would really get the whole ‘be yourselves’ thing. I assured and reassured her that the best thing is to not think about it, just wear what you would normally wear and do what you normally do. It was perfect. This, this is what I love for a session. It was a Sunday morning. Her family was on their way to church and had to stop by to see their precious little Granddaughter (and great Granddaughter!!). Jackie was still in her pj’s and her Mum and Grandmother were so smitten with the little Princess.

They live quite close to the local supermarket and so after a bit of breakfast and some gardening, we headed down to the shops for some essentials and then to a cafe in the square for a bite.  Daniel was so relaxed and although I would love to say he became my best friend, the truth is he just hardly noticed me there!

Such a happy, beautiful, growing family…
